The 6 Day Protein Bake Challenge: Day 6

The last day of Smart Protein's 6 day Protein Bake Challenge is now upon us. Strawberry whey protein is a difficult one for me to cook with, but I created a smoothie that is based on my week dy breakfasts: oatmeal.

Strawberry Breakfast Oatmeal Smoothie

Porridge is my staple breakfast during the weekdays because it keeps me full for longer. Smoothies are also a summer favourite and so the two combined was a no-brainer.

1 scoop Smart Protein's Strawberry Whey Protein
1 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
2 small slabs of 90% dark chocolate (or whatever is your preference).
1/2 tsp coconut oil.

1. Blend the frozen strawberries, coconut milk and oats together. 
2. Add in the strawberry whey protein and continue to blend until it is smooth.
3. Pour the smoothie into a glass.
4. On a bain mairie, put the coconut oil in and the dark chocolate and wait until it has fully melted. 
5. Pour the dark chocolate onto the smoothie.

What I love about this smoothie is that some of the dark chocolate drops to the bottom, whilst some solidifies on top of the smoothie. It means that whilst you are drinking the smoothie, you bite into small chunks dark chocolate.
