Who knew adult life was partly about getting excited about having deep cleaned the whole house, cooked dinner, attended a laser clinic appointment AND done a 10km tempo run all by midday on a Saturday morning.

Then again, if only I was this organised every Saturday...

Let this sink in: 20 minutes of DOING something is better and more valuable than 20 hours of THINKING about doing something.

A few minutes getting up from your desk is better than sitting down all day.

Something is better than nothing (most of the time...there are exceptions).

(Working on that front squat: Changed the grip today, which stopped the back arch I usually get when I increase weights. Depth is another piece on the list!)

Another long run route favourite in the bag for this bank holiday weekend 🤟🏾.

This time, I used @wearelupa and @trainm8 ‘s half marathon session to help me maintain my pace on the route. I found it really helpful having someone telling me when to run faster, throwing in random pop culture facts, and also some mindfulness exercises on the run.

Home is where it’s warm and cozy and brings up that fuzzy feeling.

Step outside home, and you feel uncomfortable and unfamiliar.

Dig deep, this is where your growth is. Discomfort = growth.

Let me tell you I was way out of my comfort zone with this barbell complex. SO rusty and tekkers laughably non existent.

The more consistent you are with being in that discomfort zone, you’ll grow and soon it’ll become an area of comfort, a part of home.
